It is official, UK’s, singles sex life under scanner

The sex lives of singles in the UK are under scanner as they are monitored by the authorities to check misuse of single-occupant council tax. Undercover snoopers are tasked to find out how often lovers visit and whether single residents are sharing a bed every night with the same person.

For access to their bedrooms, local councils allegedly dangle a “tax benefits carrot to the house holders” in return. After the government urged the authorities to flush out erring singles, they adopted the “spot-check technique” on the properties where a single-person council discount is claimed.

In Essex, claimants of the discount have to sign a form authorizing:

“the council or its agents to make inquiries to corroborate this claim” and “inspect the property.”

Thus, the snooping inspectors can park discreetly outside homes to monitor lovers’ movements and register whether the same person leaves the house in the morning and returns at night as well as check on how often lovers’ cars are parked outside houses.

Even women sleeping with their landlords are under the scanner. This whole exercise is the result of the hefty discount of 25 percent reduction that can be claimed by a single person.

Geoffrey battles the dreaded Cancer

Legendary batsman, Geoffrey Boycott, was reduced to tears fighting a longtime “horrific” battle with Cancer. Cancer is known for its severity, resulting in complete demoralization of the suffering patient, as the prolonged treatment is very painful.

Gritty Geoff Boycott is no exception. The mighty English batsman said he was on the verge of sliding into depression during the long and painful treatment. It was six years ago when he discovered a lump while shaving. The doctors revealed in September 2OO2 that it was cancer.

Boycott was quoted as saying in Sunday Telegraph:

“Cancer treatment is tough? It’s horrific. It’s the sort of treatment that reduces strong men to tears. And it did me; many a time. I was so full of morphine I kept falling asleep. And then I woke, the relentless pain was still there. But in the end there are just two of you in that match: you and the bloody cancer.”

According to 67 year old Geoff’s assessment,

“I would count my treatment like once I counted my runs. I had to have 35 laser sessions. `Just get to 18, ` I’d myself be on the home run. And all the time, through all this pain and fog, there is this niggling question at the back of your mind: will it work?”

His long innings resolutely fighting the dreaded cancer came to an end. Geoff came out victorious and one of the greatest English batsmen still counts his blessings at having recovered from the disease.

Medico’s say the tumor on his tongue is gone and his progress is good. Three months ago he got an ‘all clear’ from cancer.

Such incidents make us believe that “God is great”. Hopefully the all mighty will allow Geoff to live long and complete the century. Gritty Boycott certainly deserves it.

Prince Williams may take up charity work next year.

According to Buckingham Palace aides, the queen is worried that Prince William may not perform a public role once his army duties are over.

The British queen is believed to have asked the second-in-line to the English throne, to help Prince Williams, with the aim to engage him in charity work when his military attachments come to an end next year.

It is not the only the queen, even the Royal Family members are discussing an “umbrella” charity role for him.

An unnamed aide said:

“Charles turn s60 in November and the Royal Family feel William would be perfect for dealing with younger start-up schemes to oversee his current charity work”

The aide added:

“He has always had an aptitude for working with youngsters and he is looking forward to becoming some kind of youth ambassador. He will continue to retain his other charitable duties.”

It is always better to engage ones self fruitfully in activities one enjoys there by avoiding falling prey to be part of the “Devil’s workshop” as the saying goes, “an idle mind is a Devil’s workshop”.

Visit the tree with Virgin Mary - a divine blessing

Local residents shake and cry when they visit the tree at Toronto, a suburb of Scarborough… The traditional open-handed pose image resembling Virgin Mary, was spotted on a tree trunk.

Christopher Moreau was the one to spot the trees markings in his neighbour’s garden. He believes that the image helped his mother-in-law gain health and recover from cancer.

Christopher said:

“At first, I thought I was seeing things. Then I showed it to my mother-in-law. She was overwhelmed “I don’t know why it’s there, but I think it’s a blessing. I hope it would help others who are looking for miracle.”

Eulalee Hamilton, Moreau’s neighbour and owner of the tree, said she was happy for the people who visited to see the likeness and at the same time she was apprehensive about the visitors causing damage to her garden. As long as people do not damage her garden she doesn’t mind them paying a visit to personally experience the so-called ‘Miracle’ Her personal opinion is that, it is not a sign from God, she said the image was just the scarring left from a limb that was cut off last year.

Believers and non-believers of the miracle will have their own views. A spokesman for the Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto said that it does not investigate the veracity of such ‘appearances’.
Suffering human beings will not hesitate to visit the site for blessings and hopefully find relief to their ailments.
