Smoking Spice Girl asked to leave night club

March 14, 2008

Do control your smoking itch in a public enclosed place in UK, else be prepared to face the consequences even if you are a famous Spice Girl . Emma Bunton recently had a taste of adverse effects of smoking when she was asked to leave a night club after flouting the UK smoking ban. While partying , with a friend , the 32- year old Spice Girl, sparked up a cigarette on the sly, at London’s Café de Paris.

It perhaps escaped her mind that there are eagle- eyed alert security guards around. Emma, and her friend tried to hide their cigarettes, which she had lit sneakily. However a alert guard spotted the smoke and asked them to leave as smoking was not allowed.

Emma was dazed and turned red, holding her face in her hands, she repeatedly said: “I am sorry, I am sorry. It won’t be repeated. I promise.”

It happened to be one of Emma’s lucky -day.  As luck was on her side, the club manager recognised her and let her stay on provided she did not do it again. She was also accompanied by her fiancé Jade Jones with whom she has an eight month-old son Beau.

Surely, the Spice Girl will never want to face such an embarrassing situation and who knows she may just quit smoking for good

Richard Branson pulls exciting stunt at the launch of Virgin Mobile in India

March 10, 2008

It is not exaggerating to say, that Richard Bronson lives life as if every moment might be his last. Any chairman, of multi-national companies would prefer to launch their products in a press conference. But Branson is an exception. On Sunday morning, he scaled down, the wall of a five star hotel in South Mumbai like Spiderman, to introduce his mobile service to India.

Arguably this a child’s play for someone who has sailed the Atlantic in the fastest possible time and flown across Pacific in a hot-balloon at speeds of up to 250mph. Branson, who is high on life, when asked by local media why he thrived on risks, replied” I have difficulty in saying no. I don’t have a death wish, I love life, but often by  saying yes to the most incredible challenges I learn lot more about myself.

Richard Branson perhaps the most admired brand in Britain further added, India is the most exciting country in the world, and if it were properly ruled, there’s no reason why people should not come out of the poverty rut. It also makes me smile to see Indian companies buying out British companies. To me success is creating something I am proud of.
