You Tube’s newest user – Queen Elizabeth II

Way back on December 25, 1957, the first Christmas message was delivered to the nation and its colonies by Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II.Today her Majesty at the ripe age of 81, selected You Tube and launched her own special Royal Channel on this popular video sharing website. The popular video-sharing website will be the medium for the queen to reach out to millions of surfers, young and old alike across the world, when she sends out her 50th annual Christmas message. As per the Buckingham Palace statement:
She always takes keen interest in the developments of communication system and stays abreast with it. Adapting the system will ensure wide coverage and accessibility of the message.
The familiar palatial Buckingham Palace flanked by the Royal Guards in their unique bearskin caps and red tunics, illustrate the royal page with a scarlet letter heading “ The Royal Channel –The Official Channel of the British Monarchy.
Memorable selected shots of garden parties, the queen, distinguished visitors, the various British prime ministers who offered their services during her reign can be viewed on the modern video clip. The nostalgic footage of the queen’s 1957 Christmas TV broadcast reminds the viewers of the mind boggling innovative creation prior to today’s Internet.
Queen Elizabeth II’s annual Christmas speech will also be offered to television viewers in high definition format for the very first time.
